Every time I start my computer a pop up appears on the right of my screen called Advancer Mac Cleaner. It takes several steps to get rid of it. How do I get rid of it once and for all?

Go to your Login Items under System Preferences->Accounts and remove MacDefender or anything related. That should get rid of the pop-up, you will want then to use MalwareBytes to uninstall that application completely. You're best served by avoiding installing any anti-virus software out there since there are no viruses for OS X and these are just a performance drag..

I don't see "Accounts" under system preferences. The closest ting to it is Internet Accounts which does't get me there
