finally got my mid 2010 white unibody macbook working

Good morning, finally located a decent priced lcd screen for my mid 2010 a1342 white unibody macbook yesterday, got it installed for $70.00. it would have cost me $50.00 plus shipping from amazon and then i would have had to learn how to install it so think i got a decent deal. had to go to Joliet Illinois which is about 45 to 50 miles from me but it seems like it was worth it. debating if i want to leave El Captain on it or upgrade it to sierra. from what i am hearing sierra will run on it with out any problems, so that may be the next project. so far the laptop doesn't seem to have suffered any other damage besides the lcd screen when the person i got it from stepped on it. also seems noticeably faster compared to my mid 2009 A1181 white macbook, even though that laptop has a 2.13 processor and 4 gb of ram and this one is a 2.4 processor and 4 gb of ram, didn't think there would be much of a difference but it seems like there is.might be imagined though since it is a newer laptop and only the 3rd time i really used it.

Yes...the CPU scores on these two computers are not terribly different. The 2010 has better graphics hardware...maybe this is making the difference. And it may depend on how cluttered/full the HD is on each computer.

thanks, it seems to be a nice laptop. looks like brand new

just noticed something the mid 2009 uses ddr 2 ram and my 2010 uses ddr 3 ram, maybe that is one of the main reasons the computer is faster.
