Problem with iPhone 5S

Hi Nick,
Guess u are great. Nick I have an issue with my iphone 5s and itunes. Whenever I connect my phone a dialogue box came out with the info that my phone wouldn't work unless I install the latest Itunes. With that I couldn't sync. But my itunes is 11.4 which is the latest. Please what do know I can do to resolve this? Looking forward to hearing from you.

rMBP i7 mid 2012 macOS 10.12
Latest iTunes is 12.5.1

If you are running an older operating system on your computer you may not be able to update to that.

Some specs of your Mac/PC would help.
