Every time I hit the get mail icon it says it's downloading 22 messages, but it never does. How do I rectify this problem?

Not enough information to really help, but... try accessing your mail account at your ISP server from their web page and mark the mail as read.

Also, the count in that message is how many messages it's download in the day, basically since midnight. So if it has ONE to download but has already downloaded 10, it will say 11.

Found the problem. Deleted my drafts and it's repaired, no more downloading messages. I'm a happy camper now.
