I am running a pre-Intel Mac os 10.5.8. I recently purchased a Totolink Usb wireless adapter Model No. N150UH. I contacted the company to get a proper driver. It still didn't work or was not supported my my comps. "architecture." And advice?

Thanks,

Is the device recognized by your iMac in System Profiler? When you click on About This Mac, and you can get More Information, does it list the device under USB? Have you gone into System Preferences, to see if wifi is available?

Is the device seen in System Preferences > Network? It should be listed along with the Airport card, Ethernet, and Modem. If it is not listed there, then it is not recognized.

Ahem, excuse me, but don't you possibly mean you want to boost my wifi to pick up weaker signals. You should have no problem picking up stronger signals

BTW: There ar lots of antenna mods and hacks, literally, that add mods to your existing antenna. Dremmel type tool often needed on some Mac models if you don't mind doing some customization.

A google search can find several methods.
