I recorded some videos using my iphone SE and a plug in mic. One of the videos I started in the portrait position for 2 seconds and then rotated the phone to the landscape position. I clipped the 2 seconds from the start of the video but the rest of the video (taken in landscape) still plays in portrait only. I was able to rotate this in iMovie on the phone but when I brought it into iMovie on my MacBook Pro it shows up in portrait position only. Is there a way to fix this?

It would help if we knew which version of iMovie you are using.

If you can import your video from the iPhone into Finder, open it with Quicktime and you can rotate it in there. It should then import into iMovie OK.

I used iExplorer to bring it into the desktop and then opened it with QuickTime, made the adjustment and saved it. Worked great, thanks for the tip.
