Just upgraded Firefox and for last two days have had SBBOD and can`t get away from it without pulling the plug . Have plenty of memory, etc. Running 10.11.5 so I think I am current with everything. Anyone else having this problem?

Thanks

Please add details...

What kind of machine? Specs? What, EXACTLY, do you need to do with FF in order to get it to lock up?

I have 47.0.1 on my MacBook Air and a few cursory tests yielded no issues.

Is there a reason you have not updated your OS X to 10.6.8 or a newer OS all together?

Also, you may want to get El Capitan before the next OS X is released, you don't have to install it right now, but get it associated with your Apple ID so when you need it you have it. I don't know if you did this with any of the other downloadable OS X versions, but you may want to start doing it before you find out you can not upgrade your computer because the OS X version is no longer available in the Mac App Store.

What he said. If you're gonna run the latest Firefox (or anything for that matter) you need to upgrade as much as you can.

Further is that a Developers or Beta version? Snow Leopard is showingnits age with no Apple Security updates for years now.

Running 10,11,5 My mistake for not showing that. All current and up to date.

Your original post and your specs under your name both show 10.6.6, hence the confusion.
Exactly how much memory? How much drive space left? How many other things running at the same time?
How many and what extensions in Firefox?
Every little bit helps us.

What are on the tabs? Do you use and add-ons? Maybe install Ghostery and an AdBlock Plus or something like it.

I opened multiple tabs, flitted around like a butterfly between them, and had no ill effects.
