I am in dilemma of choosing between these two models which almost same price:
1. Macbook Air - 2.2GHz dual-core Intel Core i7 processor turbo Boost up to 3.2GHz
2. Macbook Pro - 2.7GHz dual-core Intel Core i5 Turbo Boost up to 3.4GHz

Which one is faster to operate heavy graphic works such as photoshop and 3D modelling?

The Macbook Pro. Make sure you load it with at least 8 GB RAM.

Get a 15" MacBook Pro with dedicated graphics hardware and quad-core CPU.

Of course more expensive…but the best you can get from Apple in a portable computer for "heavy graphics work".

Absolutely go Pro if you're getting this machine for graphics-related work. No brainer.

Thanks guy. Seems like everyone vote for macPro. However, The macbook air with Corei7 really cannot compete or on par with the macbook pro Corei5?

No.
Not for graphics work.

Correct, the Pro will be much better/faster working on the graphics/rendering. Unless you have a dedicated machine for that.

I'd go for the Pro too, especially if you're going to be doing graphics work and 3D modelling etc
