Can I buy macbook pro from BestBuy or Apple site as a gift to american friend?

Is it possible to buy macbook pro from BestBuy or apple site to be delivered to New York? the thing is that im not from america and im afraid apple site won't accept payment from outside the USA.

I hope someone know, thank you in advance.

I would say it depends. If you handle the payment by using a credit card, you card company might not let the shipping be to a different address. If you use something like PayPal they usually insist it go to your address.

One idea would be to call wherever you order and ask. You might call who ever will be paying for the MB Pro - credit card, bank, etc. and ask how it could be done. Or you could order it and ship it to yourself then reship it to your American friend.

Since you do not indicate what country you are in, I do not know if there is some sort of price difference for your country or tax involved. You might have to call Best Buy or Apple for that information. There is just so much fraud going on that what you are wanting to do would probably send up flags.

Is this question related to your other thread where you asked about a question when new models would be available after the WWDC…and needed the computer by June 26th…or you were going to purchase a Dell xps 15?

If so…this could have been mentioned in the other thread.
