sorry guys a very noob ?

which macbook year is the best soo far? really interested in getting one. the use would be overall school,web surf, etc.. a lil gaming. thanks for the replies fellow board members

As in all personal computing, get the newest and fastest you can afford. Get as much memory as you can and for newer machines, get the biggest internal drive size you can, preferably SSD rather than a spinner HD. There is no "best," there is just a "best for your use and budget." If you want to game, get a Windows PC with a really fast graphics card as most games are pretty intensive in graphics.

Remember there are "MacBook's" and "MacBook Pro's". "MacBook's" is not a term that lumps all Apple laptop/notebook computers into one category.

You also need to consider your budget. The price for a "MacBook" or a "MacBook Pro" can vary from $1299 to $3199.

If you want the "best"…get the $3199 model!
