Another good reason to avoid Firefox. Once a great browser for Linux and Windows, they're steadily going downhill.....

Never been a big FireFox user but I know quite a few folks who are using it as their main browser. Think I'll pass this on.

I was a big Firefox user. Still have it but now I'm trying Chrome. The only thing I don't like about Chrome (and Safari) are those stupid tooltip boxes. At least in Firefox you can turn them off.

Tooltip boxes? What tooltip boxes? I use Chrome and Safari on a regular basis and never see tooltip boxes. Where are you seeing these tooltips? (I'm on Chrome right now Version 51.0.2704.7 dev (64-bit) ) No tooltips.

Hmmm..... They're not showing up in a screenshot. Wonder if it's Windows or Nvidia (I'm on my HP).
Didn't do it in Firefox though.

Those aren't tooltips and have been present in our forums and also the MacRumors forums as long as I've been a member of both. Those are "previews" of the forum posts not tooltips. And as far as I know, there is no way to turn the previews off.

Interesting. Firefox must have a way to block them because I've never seen them before.
With Chrome I'm getting them everywhere (forums that is).

I would guess that Firefox was not blocking them, but rather didn't know how to show them. They are present in Safari, Chrome, Opera, and as stated above, normal for forum viewing.
