Well and now we have this little gem to add to the recent update issues:

So from what I am understanding this little piece of code can be used to by-pass SIP and give root access - if one was crazy enough to run it. OR your friendly neighborhood hacker could use it to gain access to the root of your OS X.11.4 computer and do various nefarious things to your computer if you somehow provided an opening that allowed such to happen. I can think of a few ideas.

Coming from both sides of the street (Windows and Apple), it seems Apple users flip out when a vulnerability pops up in one of the operating systems, yet over in the Microsoft Windows crowd they just wait for the bi-monthly deluge of updates to "patch" the various problems. I totally understand Apple users hold Apple to a higher standard and I do believe they are meeting the challenge. I just find it amusing the difference in attitude and expectations. It's like on one side Apple users say, "We pay more so we expect more." While on the other side of the street, Windows users have been conditioned to expect the need to fix issues on a constant basis so it's no big deal.

Just some thoughts ;)

Moved your post here Lisa as it did not belong in the iOS forum. (Also gave it a title.)

The author is worried about the flaw to bypass SIP. Then gives instructions to bypass. It is a wonderful world.

Just wait until an OS X virus comes along ( a real one that is not malware)!

Thanks chscag,

Right after I posted it I realized I was in the wrong spot. I figured someone would fix it.

Harry - Yeah, I "loved" the content of the article. Oh, I can wait - I deal with enough Windows viruses.
