• The Mac-Forums Community Guidelines (linked at the top of every forum) are very clear, we respect US law and court precedence when it comes to legality of activity.

    Therefore to clarify:
    • You may not discuss breaking DVD or BluRay encryption, copying, or "ripping" commercial, copy-protected DVDs.
    • This includes DVDs or BluRays you own. Even if you own the DVD or BluRay, it is still technically illegal under the DMCA to break the encryption. While some may argue otherwise, until the law is rewritten or the US Supreme Court strikes it down, we will adhere to the current intent of the law.
    • You may discuss ripping or copying unprotected movies or homemade DVDs.
    • You may discuss ripping or copying tools in the context that they are used for legal purposes as outlined in this post.

I'm trying to recover some video that somehow got corrupt on an SD card. I was actually able to recover the files - and found a program that will bring them back to life - but only 50% of the file do they give you for free. Some simple math tells me that if I just duplicate the file - and can somehow merge the two - end to end - I will get the full result - even though the program does only 50%. Problem is... quick time or Imovie once doubled -can't save it correctly.

SO. I need to know - is there a a source to repair the ENTIRE video - OR - can you tell me how to merge the two files to be one? I watched a youtube vid that a guy did using a command promt for a PC - is there a similar process that could be done on a MA?

TY TY TY!

So it looks like I need something like this that I found in a blog. There was a HEX editor in the itunes store for free... was able to do as it say..but it saves as an .exe GRRR

http://download.cnet.com/HxD-Hex-Editor/3000-2352_4-10891068.html
or from any site
>******All we know this utality repairs only half length.
>open video in hex editor
>copy all code and paste it at the end.
>save as the file.
>Repair that file with utality.
>Repaired file will have a full length video.
