Can I limit Finder Search Results?

I've only been using mac a few months.

This seems to be a new problem. My postbox mail shows up in ever search , hundreds. Is there a way I can tell the search to ignore these files?

Processor 2.3 GHz Intel Core i7

check in your system preferences for spotlight. In mine I can check or uncheck searchable items.

Thank you so much! This has been driving me nits. I had no idea I could change spotlight.
