I will be trying out Final Cutr Express HD in the near future. What is the best learning medium for this program? Aside from hands-on practice. Are there books or DVD's that are better than others?

I think Apple has a free class you can take to learn their software. Just check the event calendar for your local Apple store and show up the time the class (or "event" as they call them) is.
