There is dust and/or specks of dirt inside the screen of my MacBook Pro 15-in mid 2009... The LCD screen cover is visibly loose at the bottom, but I am unsure on how to remove and clean it in a safe manner. I wasn't able to find any forums or tutorials for my specific MBP, and I don't want to damage anything in the process. The earliest MBP that was referenced was a 2011 and I'm not sure if the LCD screen is manufactured in the same way as mine.

I want to avoid taking it to an Apple store because I'm on-call for work 28 days out of the month, and the closest store is 2 hours away.

Any and all insights are of help and many thanks!

Ashley :)

Try the ifixit web site. They will likely have instructions on how to change the screen and that should help you to be able to remove it, clean it, and reassemble. www.ifixit.com

And Welcome to the Mac-Forums! :)
