• The Mac-Forums Community Guidelines (linked at the top of every forum) are very clear, we respect US law and court precedence when it comes to legality of activity.

    Therefore to clarify:
    • You may not discuss breaking DVD or BluRay encryption, copying, or "ripping" commercial, copy-protected DVDs.
    • This includes DVDs or BluRays you own. Even if you own the DVD or BluRay, it is still technically illegal under the DMCA to break the encryption. While some may argue otherwise, until the law is rewritten or the US Supreme Court strikes it down, we will adhere to the current intent of the law.
    • You may discuss ripping or copying unprotected movies or homemade DVDs.
    • You may discuss ripping or copying tools in the context that they are used for legal purposes as outlined in this post.

Hi, my ongoing saga with iMovie 10 and Photos chapter 5. Having finally figured out (with plenty of help on here) how to insert stills into iMovie I have a further problem. Videos I have taken are stored in the Videos section of 'Photos', Ok - Logical. BUT when i try to move them from there to anywhere else e.g. flash drive or even just onto the desktop I cannot open them. The videos, from my own camera BTW, are designated as MOV0xxx.MPG However when moved they come out as MOV0xxx.M4v and when i try to open them I get this message:-

'License Error: mocha AE CS6 must only be launched from After Effects'

I have absolutely no idea what this means, I've never used After Effects, don't even know what it is.

Prior to 'Photos' and El Capitan I've not had this problem. I am using version 10.11.3 of the OS and 1.3 of Photos.

Ideas anybody please.

Hi, my ongoing saga with iMovie 10 and Photos chapter 5.

Couple more chapters…and it's time to write the book!;)

Sorry…I'm not an iMovie expert.

Good luck,

- Nick
