My Mac Book Pro takes days to receive emails. My iPhone and iPad gets them straight away but they don't load onto the MBP. I have checked the Imap thing and it seems to be on the right setting. Anyone got any ideas? TIA.

Only a simple suggestion I'm afraid. But have you tried removing and then recreating your internet accounts in System Preferences?

Has it ever worked or is this a new setup on a new laptop? Oh, and is it a gmail account?

Hi, its all set up in preferences. I just don't get any emails

Yes, but have you tried deleting them in system preferences and then re-creating them? I'm not saying it'll fix your problem but it's the first thing I'd try in your situation.

System Preferences
Internet Accounts (this should show all your email accounts)
Highlight them one at a time and press the minus button at the bottom of the list
Once you've done that, click on the plus button and choose your account from the list on the right to add them back in.

Hope this helps, Nick

Access the Hotmail web page, look for help in setting up an account, and all the information you need should be there. Hotmail may even have a quick help setup for Apple Mail.
