Spilled water on my MacBook Air

Hey guys, so I come home from work and decided to do some studying for finals and left a glass of water next to my closed MacBook*note* (my MacBook has a case) . Then I went to the bathroom. My cat decided it was a good time to go on the table and spill the glass of water. When I came out I ran to it and took the case off and dried it. I was so anxious I decided to see if it turned on. It did for a few minutes than shut off. I currently have it in front of a fan and trying to dry it off completely. Any advice ? I'm really upset, this was my birthday present from my parents in November.
