Strange e-mail Trash

Here is the story:



Yesterday, I sent an email to my credit card customer service using the Google account. Today, I went to empty the trash, and many versions of the email were there (see below). The note did go out (was also in the outbox), but I never dragged it to the trash.

The notes in the trash were in sequence

the first version had "Dear Sir"

the next had "Dear Sir, Please see my

the next said "Dear Sir, Please see my attached document

and so on, until the final one contained the entire email.

I am concerned because this was a note to my credit card company. Can anyone explain this?

A possible answer to my own post:

Posed this same situation to Apple Support Community. It was suggested I go to Mail Preferences>Accounts>Mailbox Behaviors, and uncheck the box marked "Store draft messages on the server". We will see if that resolves the issue!
