Does anyone know how to stop Firefox from opening on startup? It is not my default browser, I have control-clicked to make sure it is not checked to 'open on login'. Is there any solution before I trash the whole darn program?
Thank you!

Go into System Preferences, Users & Groups, then click on the Login Items tab near the change password button. You'll find Firefox in there. Click the - button on the bottom left of the window to remove it from starting at login.

Go to System Preferences->Users & Groups, select your user and click on Login Items and ensure that FireFox is not in the list there. If it is, select it and hit the minus sign below..

While I don't imagine that this is any different, check System Preferences > Users & Groups > your user > Login Items. Another possibility is that something is opening at login that happens to need Firefox. Does anything in particular open with(in) FF when it loads?

I was afraid that my problem was a hardware issue that would require a visit to the genius bar, but love the input from the pros that solved the problem!! :) Like your Pats logo, I fell asleep before the game was over last night but I see the result was positive!

I'm the slow typer and I've also got numerous MF tabs open at once. So, that's my excuse. :p

I am happy with the outcome, but if the referee goof ups had caused us to lose the game, I would have been quite livid..
