Looking for a way to do a carbon copy of my iPhoto pix. Will Carbon Copy work, or is there a better solution?

You can duplicate photos singly or in batches: Image > duplicate. You can also duplicate the entire library http://www.noproblemmac.com/blog/2012/12/28/how-to-create-a-new-iphoto-library/
