I am attempting to copy pictures to Ext Hard Drive. Am copying "photo library" from the Pictures folder. It says that I have 240 GB of photos and that it will take 3 days. I have 2 TB EHD so there's plenty of space. I am into my third attempt. The first two resulted in an Error Code which said it could not be done. Assuming it works, I will delete Photos, Aperture and switch to Lightroom.
Is there a simpler way to do this?
Would appreciate any suggestions. WSA
UPDATE- This process has been going without any Error Code for over 90 minutes and the message now says it will finish in 3 hours-not 3 days. That's acceptable and provides less time for the dreaded hiccup which throws every back to zero. If it continues smoothly I can then work on my iPhoto and Aperture images in Lightroom with the knowledge that I have the originals safely stored in case something goes wrong.
