For the last three weeks , I have been unable to use iPhoto. My Mac operates on OS X Yosemite 10.10.5. If I launch iPhoto, a message tells me to download an upgrade for it by going to the Apps store. This I do only to be told that they don't have any in stock. Has any member had a similar experience and can I look forward to printing my Niece's wedding snaps at sometime in the future.

You have the new "Photos" app on your Mac now and if you didn't upgrade iPhoto to the latest version prior to installing Yosemite 10.10.5 it will not be available for download. However, if you previously had iPhoto, just remove it from Applications and go back to the Mac App store and select your purchased items. Now you should be able to download the latest version of iPhoto.

chscag, My sincere thanks for your clear and concise advice re iPhoto. In the not too distant future, I suspect that our political masters will pass a law that prevents people of my great age being in possession of sophisticated electronic equipment.
Best wishes fae Bonnie Scotland.
