is there any apps in the app store that i can set up to use a specific folder of wallpaper .png

Do the files have to be png? The Desktop preference pane allows you to cycle through a series of pictures. You can set the time between "switches" to a variety of time intervals.

You're welcome. Glad that gets things sorted out. I'm sure there are some third-party apps that might give you more control of this but I've never used them.
