I just signed on with them yesterday...for 3 years at $349.00. They did a good job at giving my unit an enema....however their site doesn't exist. They type the bill on your document....very strange. 2 names the above and NTS.ITCare.com

Can anyone help?

How did you pay them? If you used a credit card you may be able to get your money back from your bank or whoever is the holder of your credit card.

Do a Google search for "NTSGlobalServices" and read up on all the complaints and fraudulent services. They actually do have a site but it may not be the same company that got $349 from you. Go here.

Thank you I will check it out...actually they did a good job and I purchased a 3 year contract and can call they anytime to do just about anything. But when I called next day for the site address it did not work...there are 2. nts.itcare.com which is the California site. Just want to know if anyone has used them safely? Thanks again

It seems the parent company is in NJ. However a CA tech provided the service. The scam site says they're 80% safe.

chikarella . . . personally, I doubt they did nothing more than the Mac maintenance app Onxy would do.

@chikarella:

Take my advice that I gave you in the first reply. Contact your CC company and nullify the payment you made to them (if you can). The whole thing smells like a big scam which it very likely was.

I called them yesterday to see if they could help with IWeb which Apple no longer supports and said they would be happy to help anytime 24 hours per day. I just didn't have the time yesterday. I have an Imac late 2009 21.5 in ... 4GB Yosemite 10.10.4

I hope you have a good backup because when things go fubar, and they will, you're looking at an erase and reinstall.
Keep an eye on your outgoing connections and what processes are running.
I hope you didn't give these people your credit card number...

Scamadvisor gave an 80% rating

You were scammed. If you want to live under the illusion that you weren't, well that's your $$$$ and your life. We hear of this fairly often here and reports of scams like this hit the tech blogs periodically. You should be assuming that you were completely compromised. That means assume they stole any passwords and financial information stored on your computer, and/or installed a backdoor and keylogger to get it later. I would make a backup of your computer; wipe the drive clean; and manually migrate any valuable photos, data, etc back over. Manually... don't use Migration Assistant. And then change the password for every online account you have. Everything.

Good advice from member "Lifeisabeach". Do as he says and if you need any further help with any problem on your Mac, use our forums which are free. Our members have many years of experience and will be happy to assist you. I don't know if you can get your money back, but if you can't, just chalk it up to a bad day and move on.

... I feel betting on an 80% scam odds is sure to burn you. The casinos give a bit better odds at their games. Please, please listen to the advice given to you by these Mac Masters. You have some of the best trying to help you.
