Mac banners are off-center

the rectangle doesn't fully show up and I can't click the right side.

We need more information. Start with which Mac you are using and which version of OS X you are using. We also need a better description of what's happening and when it's happening.

I'm using macbook pro and my OS is mavericks. Anyways, when time machine lets me know how many days its been since last back up, the rectangular banner is off-center and I'm not really sure why...

This might be seen if you are slightly zoomed-in on your screen, or are using the wrong resolution, or the video display is defective. A photo of your screen posted here to illustrate the issue (perhaps along with a screenshot to compare with) might make the issue more obvious to us so we can suggest a solution.
