Received this email today,I have not purchased anything from the app store.
Is this a scam

Your Apple ID was used to make app purchases on Appstore via a web browser.

Operating System: Windows
Country: Taiwan - flag

If the information above looks familiar, you can disregard this email.
If you have not signed in to iCloud recently and believe someone may have accessed your account, go to My Apple ID (https://appleid.apple.com) and change your password as soon as possible. You will be asked to reauthenticate your account details just to make sure you are the legitimate account holder.

If that's the actual message quote you received, it appears to be a scam to obtain your Apple ID and Password. Apple does send an email when you purchase an item from the Mac App Store or the iTunes Store or whenever you access your iCloud account. And since you have not made any purchases, I would not respond to it. You can always verify if Apple was trying to contact you by calling their customer service in the UK.

Also, you can't make purchases on the App Store (iOS or Mac) through a browser. You HAVE to use the App Store client.

So its a scam, and a lame one at that..;)
