• The Mac-Forums Community Guidelines (linked at the top of every forum) are very clear, we respect US law and court precedence when it comes to legality of activity.

    Therefore to clarify:
    • You may not discuss breaking DVD or BluRay encryption, copying, or "ripping" commercial, copy-protected DVDs.
    • This includes DVDs or BluRays you own. Even if you own the DVD or BluRay, it is still technically illegal under the DMCA to break the encryption. While some may argue otherwise, until the law is rewritten or the US Supreme Court strikes it down, we will adhere to the current intent of the law.
    • You may discuss ripping or copying unprotected movies or homemade DVDs.
    • You may discuss ripping or copying tools in the context that they are used for legal purposes as outlined in this post.

Ive been searching around trying to find a way to hook up my xbox 360 to my 17" imac. I want to be able to use the HD (red blue and green) inputs from my 360 and possibly be able to switch to hdtv mode. Is there any kind of solution to this? I was looking at eye tv ez and I saw it only has a standard component input which kind of butchers the capabilities of the 360. If anyone has looked into this please let me know.

Does the iMac 17" support hi definition video?? If not then it wouldnt matter even if you could find some way to hook up the "RGB" cords to the mac.

I assume it supports some version of a higher def video because of hd video cameras. either way would viewing a standard composite image on my imac produce a better picture then on my tv screen? Im leaning towards buying a tv tuner but im fearful of getting stuck with a $150 piece of plastic.
