Hotmail on new MacBook Pro

I have a 2011 MacBook Air (OS X Yosemite 10.10.3 with Safari 8.0.6) and have no problem accessing and viewing Hotmail emails through Safari, or Firefox. I bought a new MacBook Pro with the same OS and version of Safari but am not able to view my hotmail emails through either Safari or Firefox. Can anyone suggest a solution?
