New 2014 MBA, vanilla Yosemite and not much else loaded. Cookies are allowed.

The popup window about "Interested in a great deal?" comes up every time I go back to the main page. Clicking X's at the top or bottom or filling in the blanks does not stop it.

I can probably kill it with an Ad stopper, but I don't want to use one on websites that I support and use.

I didn't post this as a security talk-talk. It is feedback and on an issue with Mac Forums. On two (and now three) new machines with Yosemite 10.10.2 the popup covers the Mac Forums main page every time it is accessed, despite clicking the X's.

Over and over and over.

Including on the way to this post.

Ok…I see.:) It should have been mentioned that the issue was with the Mac-Forums website in the original post. Otherwise it looks/sounds pretty generic.

You might have picked up some adware, so a run with Adware Medic (adwaremedic.com) may be in order (couldn't hurt).
