MacBook Air to AppleTV video stream lags

Hi, has anyone a fix for this? My daughter's MBA 6.1 streams video perfectly on the laptop but the image on the TV is glitchy, clunky and lag ridden.
Something to do with WiFi issues? All help appreciated

Check to see how many devices are connected to your wifi...it sounds like the bandwidth isnt available on your router. How old is the router, what speed is it capable of?

21" iMac 2.9Ghz 16GB RAM - 10.11.3, iPhone6s & iPad Air 2 - iOS 9.2.1, ATV 4Th Gen tvOS, ATV3
Do a speed test from the ATV, if that shows up ok, then I would restart the ATV.

Now to some questions, what videos are we talking about ? Streaming from iTunes? From a Streaming service like Netflix?
From Movies/TV Shows on the ATV from Apple ??
If its from iTunes, then there is something seriously wrong with your Network, because to stream over WiFi take very little Bandwidth.
If its from Netflix or similar, then your Internet Speeds could be the issue.
