How come 1.67 ghz Powerbooks are so cheap on ebay...they seem to run for like $800. Anyone have experience with buying a powerbook off ebay? How much?

Regarding that auction, I opened it and suddenly smelt the waft of a Bull's excrement.

If it sounds too good to be true, then that is very probably what it is.

I would steer clear of that auction and many others. Think how much they are new... would someone really let one go for $800? Read the auction carefully, check the feedback—what items the feedback was related to, when it was last left etc., payment terms, being abroad etc.
