I have apps downloaded from app store in my iTunes library. They have been installed on my iPad and later uninstalled. I want to get rid of them entirely -- remove them from the iTunes library. Instructions I found on line (click on the app then hit delete on keyboard) don't work. Can you help? To be clear, I'm trying to remove them from my iTunes library on my Mac.

Those instructions are a bit confusing. Select "My Apps" when in iTunes. That will show all your apps both for iPhone and iPad as applicable. Place your mouse cursor over the app you wish to remove and right click. Select delete from the menu and the app will be deleted from your iTunes library. Note though... that even if you delete it from your iTunes library, it will still show up as available from the iTunes store.
