COMMUNITY TOOLBAR

We’re sorry but the Safari Browser Version you are currently using does not support the community toolbar.

I have checked software update and there is not a newer version,

7.1 (9537.85.10.17.1)

Please help me make this GO AWAY!

Thanks

Which site are you getting this error on? Which version of OS X are you running? Yosemite has Safari version 8.0..

And the Site? That's likely the latest version of Safari for Mavericks..but Yosemite has a newer version and what site/extension you have installed is only looking for the Yosemite version..

Thank you RazOEdge for the GIGO info, I am new to this format, and will make an effort to be more descriptive. I am not completely familiar with all the vernacular.

Why are you running that toolbar? Most folks consider that nothing more than spyware... and it's definitely a browser hijacker.

I'd be removing that thing before doing any sort of upgrade to the OS.
Here's one link on how to get rid of it - link.
