The answer to this question is, 99% of the time, "absolutely, without a doubt, yes."

If in doubt, call someone on their claims. They claim to have a VAT number registered in the UK. Maybe check to see if that's legitimate. Otherwise, I'd be very cautious about something that promises you free goods.

One of my favorite authors, Robert Heinlein, coined the acronym TANSTAAFL, which comes from "There Ain't No Such Thing As A Free Lunch." I suggest you print out TANSTAAFL and attach it to your monitor as a memory aide.
