iphoto and image capture do not recognize iPad photos

I am trying to import all my iPad photos to iPhoto. Only a few photos are showing on iPhoto after I connect iPad to computer. same problem occurs with Image Capture

You really need to provide more information before an appropriate attempt can be made to help you: 1) What are your computer specs; 2) What OS X is installed; 3) What iPad model do you own; and 4) What iOS is installed? This will assist others to respond. Dave
