I do some iDVD at work mostly for special ocasions using iphoto. I'm thinking of venturing in imovie using the camcorder and making some quick DVD's

Do the 06 iLife have any cool features? I read someplace that in iMovie it will have the same feature of iPhoto in making a quick slideshow with movie features.

Anyone using 06 and like the new features?

I just used iLife '06 for makin my first video/dvd on this new computer. I used iLife '05 at the school computers before.

I think the upgrade is defintally worth it. I couldn't tell you exactly what are some new featuers but you got new themes for iDVD, this time they have themes that include different 'pages' of your DVD like a page for Special Features, Scene Selections, ect, making it even more professional. The DVD burning process for me anyways, seemed to be alot faster, burnt in about an hour (including encoding).

*Garageband you have podcasting features now making it easier for that.
*iMovie has motion themes now that you can include. Not sure how you use them yet, but I'm sure it will be a nice feature to have.

For only $79 I would suggest an update :) Its not Necessary but if your looking for an update and some cool new things then its for you.

*EDIT* Found more info on all the new features, read the next post.
