Relatively new to the world of MP3 and my phone (LG) has a 32G card begging to be filled. Those 99-cent songs add up fast and I'm like a kid in a candy store. Are there any other sites out there that are cheaper, or is the iTunes store about right $ (doubt it, it's Apple after all). Don't worry, I'm inquiring about pay sites.

You can try Amazon as well, but the cheapest I've ever seen per song is around $0.49 during some sort of a sale, otherwise, the going rate is usually $0.79, $0.99 up to $1.29 per track..

In this regard, Apple is in-line with everyone else on pricing..

Well...I looked up how many songs fit on my 32 gig card: 8,000, so 8,000X$.99= $7,920!

LOL! :) Somewhat over exaggerated - first, you're not going to get 32 GB on your phone since the OS & apps (plus other data) likely occupies some of that storage.

Second, 8,000 songs if about 4 minutes in length, calculates to 533 hours of music or 3 continuous weeks of listening to music - do you really need that much? ;)

Finally, check out some of your favorite artists (often their websites may offer some free downloads) - also there are free MP3 sites, like HERE, which might be useful (although the few I've viewed are limited). Good luck! Dave

Indeed, but what are the odds that you're going to purchase 8,000 songs right now or listen to that many songs. You're likely to purchase songs over a period of many months/years.

Start grabbing CDs you already owned converted to MP3's so that you can listen to them and start your collection that way..
