Sometimes the camera light is on when I am not using the camera? Why is this happening? Can someone see through my computer?

Yes, someone can see through your camera but they would have to be connected to your iMac in some way. Remote access, Skype, FaceTime, etc. Is your iMac connected to other machines via a network? Do you have sharing turned on?

You could also have an app that uses the camera still open and running in the background. Press Command-Tab to see your open apps and close any that might be using the camera.
