Hello guys, I am new here. I wonder if you could tell me how to activate apache browser. I tried and it opened a service provider window (BSNL). It wants a password and user name. Anything I give does not work.
Incidentally, I just got my computer from the mechanic and found these details.
IP address
afp://unknown7cd1c38a2752.local.lan/
or
Sudhir's MacBook Pro

192.168.1.7
192.168.1.7 iPv4 address
255.255.255.0 subnet mask
192.168.1.1 router
DNS Servers 192.168.1.1 search domains: local.lan
NrtBIOS name: MACBOOKPRO-4017
WORKGROUP: WORKGROUP
configuration profile for 802.1X required
bypass proxy settings for these: *.local, 169.254/16 (I have also by passed 127.0.0.1)
Mac address: 7c:d1:c3:8a:27:52 Wi Fi Address

117.207.64.219

The last is my computer IP address.

Is there something wrong or am I just missing something?

Any help is appreciated, please.

Sincerely,
snerfu.

I'm a little confused - what does a mechanic have to do with this (and why was a mechanic using your Mac)?

Here's any detail you'd need to start the built-in version of Apache.

Well Sir,
It is like this. My mac was "dropping off" to sleep and I attributed it to failing battery. However, within days it stopped booting. I did not know what to do. I decided to take the system to the nearest computer repair joint.
Also one thing, my terminal shows this:
Last login: Mon Aug 11 07:14:06 on console
unknown7cd1c38a2752:~ sudhir$

I do not know what it means.

Many thanks for the prompt reply Mr Vansmith. I will try it out and reply.

snerfu.

I'm still confused - what does this have to do with Apache? What are you trying to do?

The "unknown7cd1c38a2752" part is your hostname.

Sir,
Ha ha I am sorry if it seems like I am running round in circles. It is a big relief to know what that mysterious number jumble is. I am trying to get shortest way to launch a web page in my mac. I keep tripping over my feet but meeting you helped me immensely. I am now going to work on that web page.

Thanks again Mr Vansmith.
Sincerely,
snerfu.
