Well that is most unusual the 'medja' getting it wrong about Apple - again!

"iOS: about diagnostic capabilities" is a document published by Apple. It was modified on 23-July in response to the specific concerns of the "scientist" who published his "backdoor" charges.

You can believe Apple, which has a stellar record on security, or you can believe some guy you've never heard of. That Apple took the time and effort to specifically address his concerns tells me all I need to know about who to believe. Perhaps YMMV.
