Media File to DVD Converter?

Hi Once Again: I am looking for a good, reasonably priced (or free!) program that will convert media files (avi, mp4, etc) into DVD format, playable on normal DVD players...Back in the Windows days (3 days ago) I used a program called "ConvertX2DVD", but I am having a difficult time finding the equivalent type of program...Any advice for the Mac? Thanks a lot,,,

Not to knock TT's abilities if one can afford it, but you might want to consider Burn that still works with Mavericks, and it's free!!!
