What is a good anti-virus for my Mac. I am not happy with Norton.

There is no need for anti-virus on a Mac. Read through the various posts here at Mac-Forums to know why..

If you absolutely must have some anti-virus, then grab a copy of ClamXav and use it to scan specific things as opposed to running some piece of software that is always running..

Thanks Raz0rEdge. I had heard that Macs don't need virus protection . The 10 steps to follow to insure safety are also helpful.

Uninstall Nortons today. Made great products back in the Classic days, such as Disk Doctor, but AV products suck.

Norton Utilities for DOS, Norton Utilities for the Mac, Norton Commander, Norton Backup, Norton Defrag for Win 3.0, and so on. Until Peter Norton sold out to Symantec. After that it didn't take long for everything Norton to go downhill.

Norton was my "go to guy" back in the classic OS 9 (and before days)...for both anti-virus and Utilities (not much since though...about 15 years).:(

Make sure you uninstall Norton following the directions provided by Symantec. This is not one of those "drag to trash" programs.
