- iPhone 4S iPod Nano 6th Gen MacBook Pro (2011) -OS: OS X v.10.6.8 -Processor: 2.3 GHz Intel Core i5
Hi All.
What I'm using:
MacBook Pro early 2011 (16gb RAM, 2.3 GHz, Intel Core i5)
OS X 10.9.3
Final Cut Pro 10.1.1
Camera: Sony AX-100 4K
Codec: XVAC-S
I'm fairly new to editing video and have two questions:
1. How do I find out what codec the .mp4 was shot in once it's on my Mac?
[sometimes I shoot in a different in codec and would like to be able to figure out the codecs once, once they're on my computer]
2. If shooting in 4K, will I always need to edit in proxy with the current hardware I'm working with?
Any other unsolicited advice from experience is much appreciated. Cheers!
