Ipad issues can I be infected

Upgrade a while back and since had trouble with music not being able to play, now I get random shut down and have to restart my ipad. When I hit play on my music list it just keeps scrolling through and not actually playing anything. The speaker still works cause I have played audio from other sources. Essentially my two questions are can anyone help with my music issues and is it possible I have some sort of virus causing random shut downs?

There aren't any viruses for iOS. You're thinking of Android.
