I am trying to connect my Mac Book Air to LG TV M2241A via HDMI, it shows as "no signal' while the monitor continuously blinks.
I did the same connection with my Samsung TV but works without any issues.
I connected the LG with a Samsung Laptop and it works too.
Looks like it's a compatibility issue. Is there any way to go around this?

Is the Mac plugged in to power - not running off battery?

While I appreciate that you would reach out to assist one of your customers, I am really curious why you would choose to provide a link to the country of Chile in an English language forum with no idea where in the world the op may be located aside from using it to promote a site.

Simplest: buy an Apple TV.
Well, that's overkill and not all that helpful since OS X can handle HDMi connections just fine.

newmacgurl, are you sure that you have your TV set to the right input (HDMI1, HDMI2, etc.)?

Van: in a sense, you are right: buying an Apple TV is overkill.

In another sense, you're wrong. It's a simple solution that bypasses the whole messy question and provides the user with (in my opinion) far more than the purchase price's worth of satisfaction and bonus features for the goal she is trying to accomplish. It was offered as an option newmacgurl may not have considered and may want to -- nothing more.

Sometimes, a set-it-and-forget-it approach, while often more expensive, is "better" than the handyman approach, I'm sure you'll agree.

Sure, easier solutions are sometimes worth the money but plugging in an HDMI cable to a Mac is not all that hard (I'm plugged into an HDMI TV right now for instance and all it took was a cable). It's also only valuable if you use the features of an Apple TV. ;)
