is it possible to make a virtual machine of the Mac OS X? i would like to be able to try some more 'invasive' procedures, mainly via command line. but i dont want to do any irreversible damage to my MacBook Pro. but i still want to explore in a safe environment, as in a virtual machine. any ideas or suggestions?

Yes, you can create an OS X VM but only on your Mac (only as of Lion). I'm not sure about Fusion but Parallels definitely supports it.
