browser history not reseting

when i reset safari the browser history show clear in safari,but the Intego wash program still shows history on my imac ?

Safari history does not get completely removed unless you use "Private Browsing". For proof of that, reset Safari, remove browsing history, and then go to:

/Users/your user name/Library/Caches/Metadata/Safari/

All your bookmarks and residual history will still show up.

And as the Intego "wash" program is clearly not working, I'd suggest uninstalling it.
