    Therefore to clarify:
    • You may not discuss breaking DVD or BluRay encryption, copying, or "ripping" commercial, copy-protected DVDs.
    • This includes DVDs or BluRays you own. Even if you own the DVD or BluRay, it is still technically illegal under the DMCA to break the encryption. While some may argue otherwise, until the law is rewritten or the US Supreme Court strikes it down, we will adhere to the current intent of the law.

Hi all

I have just bought a HD camcorder, which I intended to edit with FCE4. I have used FCE4 many times with MiniDV tape, but I have a problem when trying to log & transfer the AVCHD files. As soon as I select L&T from the menu, FCE quits. I cannot get any further with it.

I decided to try iMovie 11 (9.0.9), which copies the files fine as long as I record in 1080i. Once converted into AIC I can edit fine. The issue is, how do I export as AVCHD, in order to burn a DVD disc (as AVCHD) in order to play in my Blu-ray?

If anyone can help with the FCE4 issues, or can tell me how to export with iMovie 11, then I would much appreciate it.

Thanks

Philip
